Danny Pralgo - President / Director of Instruction & Coaching

After graduating from Lassiter High School in 1988, Pralgo earned a four year baseball scholarship to Columbus State University, where he was a four year starter and appeared in the NCAA Division II College World Series.  Pralgo graduated from Columbus State with a Bachelors degree in Recreational Management.  Following his college graduation, Pralgo coached at North Florida Junior College for a season.  In 1993, Pralgo returned to the Marietta area where he worked in various positions- handling National Account Sales, Operations, and Customer Service- for a national air feight company. Then Pralgo took a sales position with the Westbury Carpet One family and over time progressed into the CEO role of Westbury Carpet One.

For decades, Pralgo has been coaching and training student athletes in the greatest game in the world, baseball.  For twelve years, Pralgo coached the East Cobb Astros (14U).  Pralgo’s coaching abilities, and those of his coaching staff, were recognized in 2000 and 2004 when he was awarded Coach of the Year honors at East Cobb Baseball.  One of Pralgo’s many coaching highlights came during the 2004 season.  The 2004 East Cobb Astros (14U) team provided a dream season in which they won the 2004 PONY League World Series in Washington, Pennsylvania, and were named the #1 team (14U) in the country by USA Sports Rankings.  In PONY League World Series history, this achievement was the first time since 1985 that a South Zone team had won the World Series title.  Pralgo credits the dedication of his assistant coaches-David Carr, Terry Bellah, and Sean Ruth- as a primary factor in the Astros 2004 success.  The coaching staff trained all 15 players to be interchangeable in many positions and therefore created a healthy system of competition, staples of Pralgo’s coaching philosophy.  The talented 2004 team pushed one another to improve, was pushed by the coaching staff to strive for excellence, and had a fun time doing so.

The 6-4-3 DP Baseball Academy started by Pralgo in 2007 was the percursor to 6-4-3 DP Athletics.  Through the on-going development of 6-4-3 DP Athletics, Pralgo continues to work with young athletes on the fundamental skill and team aspects of the game of baseball, and, more importantly, the game of life.  In addition to being the President, Pralgo serves as the Director of Instruction and Coaching for 6-4-3 DP Athletics.
