6-4-3 announces promotion of Nelson Pedraza

6-4-3 is pleased to announce the promotion of Nelson Pedraza to Senior Manager of Facility, Grounds and Special Projects within the organization.  Nelson has been on staff with 6-4-3 since 2013.  Due to his dedication, willingness to innovate, attention to cost-savings, and general professionalism, Nelson has displayed his valuable leadership over the years.  Nelson continues to be responsible for all aspects of the performance fields, common grounds, buildings and systems at Aviation Sports Complex, the home of 6-4-3.  In addition to being a talented staff member, Nelson is a tremendous ambassador for 6-4-3 and serves the organization as an instructor and coach.

Raised in Puerto Rico and fluent in Spanish, Nelson played in the Cleveland Indians organization from 1982-1986.  He advanced to all levels in the Indians farm system – A, AA, and AAA.  Since 2008, Nelson has served as an instructor and coach with 6-4-3.  In addition to being a coach with 6-4-3, Nelson served as a community coach with Kell High School from 2008 – 2013.  Nelson also served as a coach within the Sandy Plains Baseball Association during his son’s development (Adam).  Off the diamond, Nelson holds a long, 26+ year career in operations with American Airlines including roles in San Juan, P.R., Miami, FL, and Atlanta, GA.
