Section 1. Summary
The mission of The 6-4-3 Foundation is to enhance the lives of children and families through sports. To support that mission, The 6-4-3 Foundation will award scholarships for deserving student-athletes and grants to admirable organizations for community initiatives. Specifically, the foundation will award two distinct types of community grants: outreach and improvement projects. A community outreach project is an existing program, event or activity administered by a qualified non-profit organization that can be supported by The 6-4-3 Foundation through financial assistance and/or other resources (ex. Facility use/space, volunteers, etc.). A community improvement project is a capital improvement effort that betters a facility or addresses a maintenance need (ex. Installing a batting cage or pitching mound, renovating an athletic field or facility, etc.).
