6-4-3 DP Baseball & The 6-4-3 Foundation Attempt to Strike Out Breast Cancer

Marietta, Georgia -

For the eighth year in a row to celebrate Mother's Day, the many teams of 6-4-3 DP Baseball raised awareness for breast cancer care, prevention and research.  The tradition remains simple - we honor mothers, bring awareness to an issue familiar to many, and raise money for cancer research by having players and parents alike sport pink jerseys, shirts and hats over this meaningful weekend.  Like in recent years, 100% percent of the proceeds generated through the sale of the pink Mother’s Day apparel are donated by The 6-4-3 Foundation* to It’s The Journey, Inc. in support of breast cancer care, prevention and research.

This year (2017), The 6-4-3 Foundation raised $5,000 for the cause.  Since The 6-4-3 Foundation was created in 2013, the organization has raised over $17,000 in an effort to strike out breast cancer (in addition to the $14,700 raised and donated by 6-4-3 teams prior to the foundation's existence).  No matter how you count the contributions (nearly $32,000 grand total), it is a wonderful and worthy legacy in the making and a meaningful way to celebrate our amazing mothers each year!

The leadership teams of 6-4-3 and The 6-4-3 Foundation wish to thank the many 6-4-3 teams, players, coaches and parents who participated in this weekend's worthy awareness and fundraising drive.
