Mother's Day Campaign Raises $5,000 to Strike Out Breast Cancer!

Marietta, Georgia -

For the ninth consecutive year to celebrate Mother's Day, the many teams of 6-4-3 DP Baseball raised awareness for breast cancer care, prevention and research. The tradition is simple - we honor mothers, bring awareness to an issue familiar to many, and raise money for cancer research by having players and parents alike sport pink jerseys, shirts and hats over this meaningful weekend.  Like in recent years, 100% percent of the proceeds generated through the sale of the pink Mother’s Day apparel will be donated by The 6-4-3 Foundation* to It’s The Journey, Inc. in support of breast cancer care, prevention and research.  For every pink gear item sold in 2018, The 6-4-3 Foundation will donate an additional $2.50 to the cause.

This year The 6-4-3 Foundation raised $5,000 for the cause!  Since The 6-4-3 Foundation was created in 2013, the organization has raised over $22,000 in an effort to strike out breast cancer (in addition to the $14,700 raised and donated by 6-4-3 teams prior to the foundation's existence).  No matter how you count the contributions...over $35,000 in total funds raised...it is a wonderful and worthy legacy in the making and a meaningful way to celebrate our amazing mothers each year!

The leadership teams of 6-4-3 and The 6-4-3 Foundation extend gratitude and thanks to the many teams, players, coaches and parents that participated in the very worthy awareness and fundraising drive over the 2018 Mothers Day weekend.
