Head coach Brent Coleman and his two 6-4-3 DP Baseball teams - the 14U Tigers and 16U Tigers - recently organized a Toys for Tots drive in the Atlanta area. In addition to the 14U Tigers and 16U Tigers, other 6-4-3 teams and families (ages 8-12U) donated unwrapped toys and books to the early December initative. To make a good story even better, The 6-4-3 Foundation (the charitable arm of the 6-4-3 organization) supported Coach Coleman's efforts and the 14U & 16U Tigers' efforts with a participation challenge. For every 100 toys donated with ties to 6-4-3, The 6-4-3 Foundation pledged to donate $1,000 directly to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.
It is a great joy to report that 6-4-3 teams, under the leadership of Coach Brent Coleman, raised over 200 toys for the 2016 Toys for Tots campaign here in metro Atlanta! Furthermore, a check from The 6-4-3 Foundation for $2,000 was sent today to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation to support their inspiring mission of providing toys, books, and other gifts to less fortunate children.
A sincere thank you goes to Coach Brent Coleman for organizing this meaningful effort, to the 14U Tigers and 16U Tigers for leading by example, and to the other 8-12-year-old 6-4-3 families who donated toys and other gifts this holiday season!
