This winter...6-4-3 SERVES!

Marietta, Georgia

Yesterday, The 6-4-3 Foundation joined forces with a large group of 6-4-3 DP Baseball 13U players and their families to take a swing at hunger in Cobb County.  The group of over 35 volunteers from 6-4-3 supported Must Ministries' Save It Forward initiative.  Save it Forward’s mission is to eliminate hunger for at-risk students in local schools so that they may have a greater opportunity to succeed in school and life.  Save it Forward partners with schools in the local area to provide food and toiletries to children and families in need.  For two hours yesterday, the group from The 6-4-3 Foundation sorted grocery supplies, created toiletry bags and food boxes, and stocked/re-stocked the warehouse space to advance the good work of the Save it Forward initiative.  A sincere thank you goes out to Rhonda and Dana, our dedicated leaders and hosts for the day at Must Ministries.  It was a privilege for the 6-4-3 group to have the opportunity to serve the Save it Forward initiative.

This winter the charitable arm of the 6-4-3 organization, The 6-4-3 Foundation, is organizing service projects for 6-4-3 academy student-athletes and families like the one mentioned above.  "As our student-athletes continue to improve on the field, 6-4-3 also wants to create opportunities for them to learn life lessons off the field and to do good deeds in the community alongside their teammates.  Evolving our organization in this direction is not only the right thing to do, but also an intentional way to create a culture of volunteerism across all age groups of the academy," commented David Carr, spokesperson for 6-4-3 and board member of the foundation.
