This weekend the 6-4-3 DP Cougars (15U) team won the 16U WWBA Memorial Day at LakePoint tournament championship. Everyone on the team played a considerable role in this championship win for the Cougars. The team exhibited clean play and great hitting and pitching throughout the tournament. All the pitchers did exactly what they needed to do and kept walks down to a minimum. The coaches remarked that the team was just in the right mindset all the way through the weekend, making them very easy to coach and a pleasure to watch. Even though there was excellent offense throughout the lineup, one player stood out above the rest. Ryan Miller was named tournament MVP for his remarkable weekend at the plate. Ryan went 8 for 15 with a mind-boggling 9 RBIs and accounting for 5 runs scored. Congrats to the 15U Cougars on an excellent tournament win and an excellent start to the summer season!
