COACHES COMMENTS:
If there was an official “Sixth-tool” in baseball, Druw has it. He has elite speed and arm strength; he can track down any ball hit to him in the outfield; and he can hit for power and average. The “Sixth-tool” is his mental make-up. His baseball IQ is out of this world and is resilient on the mound or at the plate. In the outfield, he plays with the mindset of a “No Fly Zone”; in other words, he has great range and pursuit to the baseball. On the mound, his athleticism helps him field the position well and has excellent feel for all of his pitches. He has a live arm and throws a hard fastball that is complemented with a funky knuckle-ball. At the plate, he can hit for power, lay a bunt for a hit down, stretch a single into a double, or beat out an infield single. He is a leader on this team and a do-it-all type player. Druw, is also a two-sport athlete that plays basketball as well. He is an elite baseball player and a genuine young man.
Druw has committed to play college baseball at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
