COACHES COMMENTS:

Drew Waters is an extremely talented and very competitive young man.  Drews most important attribute is his attitude.  He plays the game the right way and expects a lot out of himself.  Drew plays OF and is a switch hitter.  At the plate, Drew gives his team a lot of options.  He has the ability to lead off, but is very tough to keep out of the middle of the lineup as the ball comes off his bat different than others.  At the plate, Drew takes it personal and can flat out hit from both sides.    From the left side he has extremely fast hands and has power to all fields.  You cannot get a fastball by him and he has the ability to barrel off speed pitches as well.  He rarely strikes out and seems to find the barrel more often than others.  From the right side, he does not skip a beat.  He rarely strikes out and he has above average power to all fields.  Drew is a true switch hitter and he will hit at all levels.  In the OF, Drew has extremely long strides and he covers a lot of ground.  He goes back on the ball very comfortable and is light on his feet.  Drew has an above average throwing arm already and it will obviously get even stronger as he is still filling into his body.   Drew can play CF at the next level and handles both corners very well.  As Drew continues to mature, he will be a very high level prospect and will have opportunities to play at the highest level. 

Drew has verbally committed to play college baseball with the University of Georgia.
