COACHES COMMENTS:

Ben is an exciting young baseball player with above average tools.  He is a LHP and OF as well.  At the plate, Ben has the ability to hit for power and also hit to all fields.  He is a tough two strike hitter and is never overmatched.  He does not over swing and trusts his hands.   In the OF, Ben glides to the baseball and takes very good angles.  He takes easy strides and covers a lot of ground.  He has above average arm strength and is very accurate. On the mound, Ben is very confident. He commands an above average FB that is very heavy and tough to square up.  His breaking ball is very affective and has late tilt.  He throws a CH with a very good feel and throws it in any count.  As Ben continues to mature physically he will be a part of a major program.

Ben has verbally committed to play college baseball with the University of Virginia.
