Congratulations to the 6-4-3 DP Cougars 16U squad for winning the Prep Baseball Report Underclass Fall World Series tournament over the weekend. After dropping their opening pool play game Friday night, the 16U Cougars used strong pitching and defense to win their final two pool games and sneak in as the 12th and final seed for Sunday’s bracket play. The Cougars showed off incredible depth and fortitude to run the table on Sunday with victories over the 5th, 4th and 1st seeds before outlasting a steady downpour and the 3rd-seeded Slammers Ascinar (Colorado) in the championship game with a winning score of 7-3.
