Liam is a high-IQ, versatile player that owns his role and responsibilities as a catcher. Behind the dish, Liam is a consistent receiver and handles the low ball extremely well, stealing a handful of strikes throughout the duration of a game. He gains ground and stays athletic when he throws which creates good backspin and carry on his throwdowns. Liam blocks like his life depends on it and gives pitchers confidence to throw any pitch in any count. In the infield, Liam has soft hands and good range and can play them all. He attacks hops and sticks his nose in the baseball. Offensively, Liam competes every at bat and is a strong piece in a lineup. Liam has gap to gap power but excels in barrel control and being a tough out. Liam is also a smart base runner and a very good bunter. Liam’s work ethic, focus and skill set will make him a great fit for a strong program at the next level.
