COACHES COMMENTS:
Jackson is a very strong young man with a high ceiling. He is primarily a Catcher who also pitches and plays third base. At the plate, Jackson swings from the left side and is a middle of the lineup hitter. He has a very aggressive approach and a knack for barreling up the baseball. His swing creates a lot of backspin, and he hits for power to all fields. Jackson is a difference maker at the plate. Behind the plate, Jackson has a hard-nosed mentality and is a natural leader. He has good footwork when throwing to bases and has a strong accurate arm. He also has strong hands and receives the ball well. Jackson is a very good INF as well and can play both 3b and 2b. He works the bag well at 2nd and has the mentality and glove work to play 3b. On the mound, Jackson throws from a lower arm slot and has very good command. He throws 3 pitches in any count and has very good mound presence. With Jackson’s athletic ability and work ethic, he will be a top prospect and will be a part of a top college program.
