COACHES COMMENTS:

Hugh is a very promising young athlete with the ability to be a 2-way guy at the next level.  Hugh is a RHP and OF/INF.  On the mound, Hugh’s best attribute is his attitude.  He is very confident and attacks hitters with plus stuff.  His body type is perfect for the mound and will last.  His FB is explosive with plus command.  He throws it well to both sides of the plate and it can beat good hitters.  He also throws an outstanding CH.  It has late action, a good change of speed, and he throws it in all counts.  Hugh also throws a very good CB that has major depth and he commands.  At the plate, Hugh creates a lot of leverage and effortlessly drives the ball to both gaps.  He has very good hand eye and is a tough out.  Hugh has above average speed as well to go along with very good base running instincts.  In the OF, Hugh tracks balls effortlessly.  He covers a ton of ground and has a very accurate plus arm.  Hugh can also play corner infield.  He plays the game low and has the tools for it.  Hugh will play this game at a high level in college.

Hugh has verbally committed to play college baseball with the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) in Atlanta.
