COACHES COMMENTS:

Ben is an exciting young athlete at the 6-4-3 program. He is coming off another very impressive season where he showed very well in all areas of the game. Offensively, Ben is the type of hitter that is going to see a lot of pitches and get on base. He has a natural left-handed stroke that allows his barrel to stay through the hitting zone for a long time. Ben hits the ball hard to all fields and is always a tough out. On the bases, Ben is very smart. He has plus speed and very good instincts. Defensively, Ben has the ability to run down balls in the outfield. He is mainly a CF, but has the instincts to play all 3 spots.  He gets excellent jumps, and his ability to get back on the baseball allows him to play shallow and take away bloop hits. On the mound, Ben brings a competitive nature and attitude that makes all the defensive players around him better. His fastball attacks the zone with good velocity and plus command.  His Breaking ball is very simple and has a lot depth.  He also throws a straight CH that is very affective. As Ben continues on his path, he will have a lot of options at the next level at a strong college program.
