6-4-3 players show well at PG WWBA World Championship in Jupiter, FL

Over October 19-23, twelve 6-4-3 players combined with twelve players on the Ohio Warhawks team to compete as a joint squad in Perfect Game’s WWBA World Championship in Jupiter, Florida. The annual event attracts the most competitive and talented showcase teams from across the country. The team, playing under the banner of the Ohio Warhawks, had a brilliant showing and finished in 3rd place overall.

On their way to winning their pool, the joint 6-4-3/Ohio Warhawks team tied Southwest Florida Nation by the score of 5-5 and captured wins against other incredibly talented showcase teams: Rawlings National (6-1 final score), Midland Redskins (12-1 final score), and South Charlotte Panthers (4-3 final score).

In their first playoff game (field of 32 teams), the team beat Team Indiana by the score of 8-1. In their second playoff game (field of 16 teams), the team beat 5-Star National in dramatic, walk-off fashion by the score of 4-3. In the quarterfinals (field of 8 teams), the team beat Canes National by the score of 9-0. In the semifinals (field of 4 teams), the team was finally defeated 11-5 by the FTB/San Francisco Giants Scout Team.

6-4-3 extends gratitude to the Ohio Warhawks and their coaching staff for allowing our players the opportunity to compete with them. The long weekend of baseball competition against the best talent in the country was a tremendous experience. There were too many individual contributions by players to count…so the team success story is the major headline!
