COACHES COMMENTS:

Jacob is a left-handed pitcher with a great work ethic that goes hand-in-hand with his ability to attack hitters. On the mound, Jacob works quickly and aims to get ahead in counts - displaying confidence in all four of his pitches for strikes. His fastball has some late jump to it and his velocity will keep climbing as he continues to get stronger. Jacob’s slider has improved a ton in the past year and is extremely sharp. He has great feel for this pitch and has the ability to throw it in any count. His curveball is definitely a different look from his slider and has been very effective as well. Jacob’s changeup has good movement down in the zone, and he is now focusing on creating a greater gap in the velocity between his FB and CH. which only serves to improve the effectiveness of his changeup and curveball. As Jacob continues to tune up his command, feel for offspeed pitches and build strength, there’s no doubt his character and work ethic will make him a great fit for a variety of college programs.
