COACHES COMMENTS:
Hunter, a 2017 grad out of Woodland High School, is a very smart baseball player with a bright future. He is an exceptional hitter and plays INF/C. At the plate, Hunter has a pure hitter’s stroke. He seems to always be able to slow his brain down and simplify his approach, and makes barreling baseballs look easy. He has plus gap power and can also take what pitchers will give him, be it a walk or a less aggressive approach. Hunter will hit at the highest level if given the chance. Defensively, Hunter has the instincts to play SS, and can handle both 3B and 2B. He has good range and a very confident glove. He slows the game down very well in the INF. Behind the plate, Hunter handles his pitching staff like a veteran. He receives very well and keeps runners honest and his blocking skills gives his pitchers confidence to throw all pitches at all times. Hunter will be a part of a top college program as he continues to get stronger.
Hunter has committed to play college baseball at Shorter University.
