COACHES COMMENTS:
Cooper is a 2020 catcher that is new to the 6-4-3 family from Pope HS. Cooper has made an early impact showing leadership qualities with how he goes about practice and how he plays the game. Behind the plate, he is a difference maker as he brings confidence to all his pitchers as he handles everything with strong, soft hands. He has a strong catch/throw and it is also quick and clean. Cooper also does a very good job of keeping dirt balls in front of him. At the plate, Cooper has an aggressive, compact swing and barrels up balls regularly. Cooper also battles every at bat and is a very tough out. As he continues to to work, he will be a strong option behind the plate for a good college program.
Cooper has committed to play baseball at Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia.
