COACHES COMMENTS:
Jonathan is a LHP/OF. He is a good athlete and fierce competitor on the baseball field. Jonathan brings a football mentality to the diamond and plays with an edge. On the mound, he throws a true sinker from the left side, and induces groundballs early in the count. He follows that up with an advanced change-up that he locates well, and a big breaking ball that can cause swings and misses. In the OF, “Dougie” has plus range, good instincts, and is not afraid to leave his feet to make a play. At the plate, he has pop to all fields, and does a great job of reading pitchers and will adjust his approach accordingly. Jonathan will have many opportunities to play this game at the next level as he continues to get stronger.
