COACHES COMMENTS:
Evan is a rangy and smooth athlete out of Walton High School. A MIF/RHP, Evan has good body control and always seems to be in position. Up the middle, he is comfortable on both sides of the bag and has enough arm strength to make throws from the 6-hole. He has good awareness and reads the ball off the bat like a veteran. At the plate, Evan has a line drive stroke that could develop more power as he fills out his lean frame. On the mound, Evan repeats his mechanics and pounds the strike zone with 3 pitches. His fastball, breaking ball, change-up combination allows him to get quick outs and he has good tempo on the bump. Evan is a coachable athlete, and will have many opportunities to play at the next level.
Evan has committed to play college baseball at the University of South Carolina - Aiken.
