Alex is a very smart young man with a lot of potential. Alex is a very tall left-handed pitcher who is still growing in every way. His arm action is very easy, and he repeats his motion very well. His fastball has good late action and he commands it well. His best pitch is his change-up. He has a great feel for it and is always in the back of a hitters mind. He throws a simple breaking ball that he commands well. Alex fills a lot of innings because he throws strikes and creates a lot of weak contact. As he continues to get stronger, Alex will get outs at all levels.
