COACHES COMMENTS:
Sam is a great teammate and very hard working young man. Sam is a catcher and has the perfect mentality for the position. Defensively, he receives with a strong hand and blocks efficiently. He has a quick release and loves to throw to bases. Sam works well with his pitchers and is a student of the game. At the plate, Sam has pop and he handles the bat well. Sam is not an easy strikeout as he uses the whole field and can be a pest to opposing pitchers. In the infield, he can be a solid option at 3b. He has the mentality and the tools for it. Sam also plays very efficiently in the outfield. He tracks the ball well and throws well to bases. Sam will be a huge part of a college program in the future.
