On Monday, November 7, the Crushin’ for Carson! home run derby was a unique, community event open to participants of all ages.  Crushin' for Carson! was a smashing success!  Proceeds from the raffles will be donated to the Atlanta-based Rally Foundation in the form of a gift honoring Carson Rozsman.  All other proceeds from the evening (admission, derby entry, concessions, silent auction) will be directed to Carson and his family.  The event was successful due to the support of many, many people!

I first would like to thank everyone who came out to my event from the bottom of my heart. If it were not for the many guests in attendance, the derby would not have been such a huge success.  The number of talented, professional hitters that showed up to perform was tremendous.  The number of former, major league and minor league players that showed up was fantastic.  The number of youth players that showed up to compete was awesome.

I would also like to thank David Carr, Chief Operating Officer of 6-4-3, who agreed to be my facilitator and has taught me so much (being prepared for meetings, importance of doing exactly what you say you will, and the value of persistence).

A huge thank you goes out to the sponsors that helped make this night possible including the Madden family, Chick-Fil-A on Windy Hill, Sam's Club Marietta, All-American Specialties, Steve Rayman Chevrolet, John Woods & Family, Rob Liedberg and band (Walkin' Joe), and Peter Jezerinac.

Also, I would like to thank all of the volunteers who pitched in and helped with the Crushin' for Carson! home run derby.  Without the help you provided, this event would have been unsuccessful.

Lastly, I would like to thank the Glavine family for coming out to my event and promoting it along the way.  It was a huge honor having Mr. Tom Glavine, a Hall of Famer, at the home run derby.  Once again, thank you to everyone in the 6-4-3 family, in the local community, and in the professional baseball community for making my senior project a huge success, and most importantly helping me raise money for my friend, Carson Rozsman.

Sincerely,
