COACHES COMMENTS:
Gavin is a OF/1B/LHP from Kennesaw Mountain High School. Very long and lean, Gavin has room to grow into an already strong frame. Gavin is a solid contact hitter and has a consistent approach. He is a savvy hitter, competes at the plate and has gap to gap power. Defensively, he gets solid reads on balls in the outfield and has very soft hands and good footwork at first base. On the mound, Gavin has good upside with a quality fastball that he locates. His breaking ball and change-up give him two quality off-speed offerings to keep hitters off balance. Gavin is a hard worker, a good student, and will make a great addition to any college baseball program.
Gavin has committed to play college baseball with Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee.
