COACHES COMMENTS:
Jeff is a corner infielder and pitcher who attends Wheeler HS. At 6’1”, 160 pounds, he is still growing into his body. Jeff is lights out on the mound. He has a very deceptive delivery with a fastball that shows late movement which keeps hitters off balance. He couples hiding the ball well in his windup with a unique triple set motion which can distract hitters with runners on. Jeff also features a 12-6 curveball that he can throw for strikes early in the count and a straight change up with movement that is similar to his fastball. Defensively Jeff can work the bag with soft hands at 1B but also has the arm strength to play 3B. At the plate Jeff hits from an athletic position and battles. He shows the ability to get his barrel to the baseball regularly and handles the bat well in hit and run and bunt situations. As Jeff continues to grow, he will have a chance to play this game at the next level and will be able to bring a very high academic resume to college.
