COACHES COMMENTS:
Mason Kearney is a strong RHP/3B from Lassiter HS who swings it from the left side. On the mound, he sits in the upper 80's with his FB and has good command to both sides of the plate. He is extremely confident in his curve ball which has a lot of tilt and tight spin and can throw it in any count. His change-up continues to get better and with confidence, compliments his FB very well. Defensively, he plays a solid 3B and has soft hands and an extremely accurate arm across the diamond. At the plate, he competes every pitch with a line drive stroke from the left side. He is a tough out and never makes it easy on a pitcher with a strong two strike approach. As his body gets stronger and faster, he will have a shot of being a two way guy in college.
