COACHES COMMENTS:
Max is a 2019 SS/RHP /OF out of Pope HS. Max's instincts on the baseball field are off the charts. He has the unique ability to anticipate plays ahead of time and be in the right place at the right time. Defensively, he has great range and clean footwork, allowing him to make the routine play and the highlight reel play. At the plate, he makes consistent hard contact, is good in situational spots, and has developed gap to gap power. On the mound, Max has a closer's mentality and floods the zone with strikes, making him a groundball machine. He throws from 3/4 arm slot a also has the ability to drop down under if needed. His change-up is deceptive and he can throw it in any count. Max has an excellent work ethic and even keel approach to the game and with strong academics it will allow him to succeed at the next level for a strong program.
