COACHES COMMENTS:

Sam is a 2019 grad from Kell HS that is a switch hitting INF/C. Sam is a natural leader on any team that he plays on. Always the field General, Sam holds himself and his teammates accountable and makes any team he is on that better. He is a talented player with a phenomenal baseball IQ. Behind the plate, Sam leads his pitching staff and does a great job of guiding his pitchers through games. He receives and blocks well, and has a very quick release that allows him to shut down runners. His vision of the field is his best tool.  In the infield, Sam plays all 3 positions well.  He is a SS at heart, but has had countless reps at 2^nd and 3^rd. Sam has very good range and a strong accurate arm.  He has good hands and works the bag very well.  At the plate, Sam is a switch hitter who has gap power and knows how to attack pitchers. He studies pitchers, and always seems to know what is coming and rarely misses a mistake. Sam is also a good situational guy, who is adept at bunting and great with hit and run situations. As he continues to get stronger, he will have opportunities to compete early at the next level. 

Sam has committed to play college baseball at Georgia Southern University.
