Davis Vainer (6-4-3 Class of 2015) selected by Houston Astros in 2019 MLB Draft

Marietta, Georgia -

Since its creation in 2007, 6-4-3 DP Baseball has experienced many reasons to celebrate and many “firsts” to share.  In our relatively short existence as a best-in-class baseball academy, 304 student-athletes (and counting) from 6-4-3 have earned the opportunity to play collegiate baseball.  In addition, twenty-two (22) total players within the 6-4-3 organization have been selected in the MLB Draft from 2008-2018.

The 2019 MLB Draft held June 3-5 was another significant and historic event for the 6-4-3 DP Baseball organization.  2019 is the seventh consecutive year that a 6-4-3 player/alum has been drafted.  To date, twenty-three players from within the 6-4-3 organization (including 2019 draftee) have been selected in the MLB Draft.

6-4-3 extends a hearty congratulations to Davis Vainer (6-4-3 Class of 2015 and RHP for the University of Alabama) for being selected in the 21st round of the 2019 MLB Draft by the Houston Astros with the 646th overall pick.  As a prep athlete, Davis played for Riverwood High School and 6-4-3 DP Baseball during several summer/fall seasons.   Please click here to read an article about Davis and his Alabama teammates.

Being selected in the MLB Draft is a tremendous accomplishment and honor for hardworking, talented, and dedicated young men and their supportive families. The MLB Draft also offers a tremendous source of pride for the 6-4-3 DP Baseball organization when one our own is validated with an opportunity to become a professional baseball player.  6-4-3 is incredibly proud of the young men who have had their name called in the MLB Draft.  Prior to this year’s draft selection of Davis Vainer, 6-4-3 has proudly witnessed twenty-two players earn a selection in the MLB Draft:
