During the Spring Bat Brawl held over the weekend of April 24, the 6-4-3 DP Tigers (13U) got out to a quick start in pool play behind great pitching and defense. The 13U Tigers only allowed two hits and two walks combined in the first two games of pool play. Earning the number one seed, the 13U Tigers’ success continued in bracket play as they advanced to the championship game against another 6-4-3 DP Baseball team - the 13U Jaguars. After a hard fought game, the Tigers sealed the victory in dramatic walk-off fashion over the Jaguars. Congratulations to both teams for a fine weekend of baseball. An added congratulations goes to the 13U Tigers for their tournament championship title!
Highlights from the 13U Tigers outstanding tournament performance included:
- Caden Felton threw a no hitter during the second game of pool play.
- Carson Neighbors went 4-8 at the plate with 8 RBI during the weekend and pitched 4 innings of no run baseball.
- Bryce Clark, Will Sizemore and Myles Murphy all collected 4 RBI on the weekend.
- As a team, the Tigers outscored their opponents 37-11 on their path to the championship.
