This past weekend the 6-4-3 DP Tigers (13U) squad won the Triple Crown Slugfest D2 Championship. The 13U Tigers went 1-1 in pool play and entered bracket play as the #14 seed. The Tigers beat the #3 seeded Roswell Hornets on Saturday night in their first bracket game by the score of 11-3, then beat the Octane Warriors on Sunday morning by the score of 10-0 to advance to the semi-finals. In their semi-final game, the Tigers played Home Plate (Faulkner) and won by the final score of 16-11. The Tigers then played the #1 seeded Dacula Falcons in the championship game and beat them by the score of 22-0. Overall, the Tigers scored 74 runs (12.3 avg. per game) over the weekend and gave up only 26 runs (4.3 avg. per game) to their opponents.
