Congratulations to the players and coaches of the 6-4-3 DP Cougars (14U) team for finishing in third place in this year’s Perfect Game WWBA 14U National Championship tournament. The 14U Cougars collected a perfect 7-0 record in pool play, won the Sweet 16 game, and won the Elite 8 game to advance to the semi-finals. Along their successful run, the 14U Cougars beat great teams like the Louisiana Tigers, the Georgia Jackets, and the East Cobb Astros. In their semi-final game, the 14U Cougars lost on a two-out, bases-loaded, walk off single in the bottom of the seventh inning to lose by the score of 3-2 to a talented Georgia Roadrunners team. Congratulations to the 14U Cougars team for their outstanding tournament performance. Congratulations also to the Georgia Roadrunners for their stellar tournament performance.
