Congratulations to the 8U Cougars squad for their recent third place finish in the USSSA State Tournament. The 8U Cougars collected a 1-0 record in pool play, won their first bracket game, lost their next game to the number 1 seed, and then won five straight games. Within their five game win streak, the 8U Cougars were victorious in two exciting games decided in extra innings and another game decided in their last at bat in regulation. In the Cougars final game, the streak ended with a tough 9-8 loss in bottom of the fifth inning due to a walk off single. Congratulations again to the 8U Cougars players and parents for their strong 6-2 overall record on their way to a 3rd place finish over the weekend.
