On Sunday, the 6-4-3 DP Cougars (14U) squared off against the 6-4-3 DP Tigers (14U) in the championship game of the Perfect Game One Day Event at Lakepointe. The 14U Cougars hung on to win the championship by a final score of 6-1 in a well-played game by both squads. The 14U Cougars earned a 4-0 record over the weekend and outscored their opponents by a margin of 29-2. The 14U Tigers also had a strong weekend of competitive baseball finishing with a 3-1 record and claiming the runner-up honors. The 6-4-3 DP Jaguars (14U) team also played well in this event and advanced to the semifinal round of competition.
Congratulations to all three 6-4-3 teams in the 14U age group on their successful weekend of competition! More important than wins, all three teams revealed areas of improvement for them to work on in practice.
