6-4-3 DP Jaguars 14U win PG Fall Classic Championship (14U silver bracket)

6-4-3 DP Jaguars 14U win PG Fall Classic Championship (14U silver bracket)

Marietta, Georgia (Cobb County)

Congratulations to the 6-4-3 DP Jaguars 14U squad for earning a 4-1 record last weekend and winning the PG Fall Classic Silver Championship!

In pool play, the 14U Jaguars dropped their first game by the score of 4-2.  After trailing 7-5 in the last inning of their second game, the Jaguars battled back and won on a sacrifice fly by Bradley Kemp in walk-off fashion!  The Jaguars 1-1 record just missed qualifying for the gold bracket but did earn them the #1 seed in the silver bracket.

The 14U Jaguars won their first bracket game by the score of 7-2 over Bombers Baseball.

In the semi-final game against the Ninth Inning Royals while trailing by the score of 3-0 with bases loaded and nobody out, the 14U Jaguars turned a triple play! Later in the same game with bases loaded and nobody out again, the Jaguars forced a pop out and then turned a 6-4-3 double play (our favorite!) that provided momentum for their offensive comeback. The Jaguars then put three runs on the board in the last inning to walk off with a 5-4 victory.  The Jaguars’ Bradley Kemp singled in Jack Hellenga (who doubled in an earlier at bat) for the winning run.

The weekend’s excitement did not stop there as the Jaguars won the silver bracket championship game against the Alabama Spikes in extra innings by the score of 5-4.  The Jaguars’ Max Caldwell got the win on the bump and provided the walk off at the plate!  Congratulations to the 14U Jaguars for their total team effort last weekend!
