6-4-3 DP Baseball’s 14U Panthers win back-to-back Training Legends tournaments

Marietta, Georgia (Cobb County)

Congratulations to the 6-4-3 DP Panthers 14U squad for winning Training Legends’ Main Event last weekend.  The 14U Panthers earned a 4-1 record over the weekend and utilized eleven different pitchers to toe the rubber.  Over their five games, the 14U Panthers gave up 18 runs and scored 29 runs. In the Panthers’ quarterfinal win by the score of 5-4, Gavin Pilger had a walk-off double to seal the victory. The Panthers then beat the Sandy Plains Wildcats by the score of 5-1 in the semifinal game. With a strong team effort, the Panthers won the championship game against the Roswell Hornets (final score 5-4) on a double play to end the game.

A week ago, the 14U Panthers also won the Training Legends’ Snowmageddon Tournament (Sunday only event).  The 14U Panthers won all three of their games on Sunday and outscored their opponents by a margin of 24-10.  According to their coaching staff, it was a total team effort that pushed the Panthers to victory in the championship over the Kennesaw Express 14U – final score 9-2.
