This winter...6-4-3 SERVES!

Marietta, Georgia

On Saturday, February 10, a large group of 6-4-3 DP Baseball 12U & 13U players (and their families) volunteered with The 6-4-3 Foundation to take a swing at hunger in Cobb County.  The 6-4-3 group of volunteers supported Must Ministries' Save It Forward initiative.  Save it Forward’s mission is to eliminate hunger for at-risk students in local schools so that they may have a greater opportunity to succeed in school and life.  Save it Forward partners with schools in the local area to provide food and toiletries to children and families in need.  For two hours on Saturday, the group from The 6-4-3 Foundation sorted grocery supplies, stocked/re-stocked the warehouse space, and helped in other ways to advance the good work of the Save it Forward initiative.

6-4-3 Foundation board member, Jay Andrews, commented on the service project, "Today was a great day of service with the Save It Forward initiative.  It is important for The 6-4-3 Foundation to connect 6-4-3 players with opportunities to serve within our community.  Working side by side, the 12 and 13-year-old players were a great volunteer work force. A sincere thank you goes out to Gabe, our dedicated leader and host for the day at Must Ministries.  It was a privilege for our 6-4-3 group to have the opportunity to serve with the Save it Forward initiative."

A special thank you also goes to 6-4-3 coaches Chris Goershel, Ric Bishop and Nelson Pedraza for their support and leadership with this service project.

MISSION STATEMENT: To enhance the lives of children and families through sports.
