COACHES COMMENTS:
MJ is a very smart young man with above average baseball instincts and is a great teammate. MJ is primarily a catcher, who also plays second base and all three outfield spots. Behind the plate, MJ is a wall. He nevers lets anything get past him and receives the ball with very strong hands. His footwork is above average behind the plate and he is very accurate with his arm. He knows how to be in charge behind the plate and will continue to get better. MJ is a very good option at second base with very good range, good hands, and a very quick release. MJ has good speed, making him an option in the outfield. He tracks flyballs well and will do what it takes to help his team. At the plate, MJ is a switch hitter with a knack for getting on base. He has very quick hands from both sides and is a pest with 2 strikes. When on the bases, MJ has good instincts, reads the ball well, and is aggressive. As MJ continues to get stronger and grow, he will be a great addition to a top program.
MJ has committed to play college baseball at Furman University.
