Important message regarding the COVID-19 virus

Marietta, Georgia (Cobb County)

Governor Kemp and the Georgia Department of Public Health are urging local schools, childcare centers, and public workplaces to impose self-quarantines in an effort to contain any further outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. (Click here to learn more.) Further, the CDC recommends that large gatherings should be avoided to curtail the spread of the disease. (Read more here.)

The 6-4-3 organization cares first and foremost about the health and safety of its players, customers and families. After long and careful deliberation and in the spirit of abundant caution, it is with great regret that we announce the following measures:

  • all 6-4-3 academy team practice and game play (ages 8-18) is suspended starting March 13 for at least two weeks
  • all 6-4-3 private lessons will be suspended starting March 13 at 5:00PM for at least two weeks
  • 6-4-3 is closing Aviation Sports Complex for all events and workouts starting tonight for at least two weeks

While this news is disappointing for all involved, the 6-4-3 organization is committed to doing its small, but important, part to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

We are optimistic that 6-4-3 can resume all normal business operations after the imposed hiatus.  This decision is severe and unprecedented.  However, it is a decision we feel to be necessary and in-line with responsible actions across our community, our nation and our globe.

As a staff, we pledge to keep you updated as our response to this situation continues to evolve.  Thank you for your support and understanding as we work together to keep the 6-4-3 baseball community and our community at-large healthy.
