The 6-4-3 Foundation invites the community for an evening of inspiration and hope with former Boston Red Sox pitcher John Trautwein. We are honored to have John deliver his positive and inspirational Life Teammates Talk. This talk stresses the idea that we have people in our lives who we can count on during good times and through difficult journeys, and that we all have the power to deliver hope to each other. By telling the story about losing his teenage son, Will, to suicide in 2010, John focuses on what he learned as a grieving parent who was unaware of the issues that faced his child and still burden millions of kids today. Drawing knowledge and strength from his career as a professional athlete, John’s “Life Teammates” concept teaches kids and adults alike to recognize the love and hope they can find in each other - encouraging them to “talk about it” - something so dramatically missing in today’s negative 24/7 world!

Since the creation of Will To Live, John, a successful, international busines executive, based in Atlanta, GA gives hundreds of speeches and presentations each year in an effort to:

  • Raise The Awareness (of teen suicide in our communities)
  • Increase Education (around mental illness & it’s stigma)
  • Deliver Hope (to kids everywhere)

While this event is free, we require registration and are asking for voluntary donations to offset our costs. You will see a donation link once you submit your registration. We encourage families to attend together. To learn more about John, the Trautwein family and the concept of Life Teammates, visit the Will to Live Foundation website at www.will-to-live.org.
