Marietta, Georgia (Cobb County)

6-4-3 DP Baseball celebrated its 2019-2020 season on May 13, 2021, with its annual awards ceremony.  Virtual for the first time, the ceremony was a wonderful event that celebrated the accomplishments of the 2020 6-4-3 academy teams and players.  The 2019-2020 Awards Ceremony can be watched on 6-4-3's YouTube channel.  A host of individual, team and special awards were awarded at the 2020 ceremony.  The 6-4-3 Foundation also announced its annual Kelly and Mike Price Scholarship award at the ceremony.  The 6-4-3 Foundation, the charitable arm of 6-4-3 DP Athletics, was launched in 2013 and continues to do impactful work in the local community.

This year marks the 7th consecutive year that the Kelly and Mike Price Scholarship was awarded to a graduating 6-4-3 student-athlete embarking on his college journey. The 2020 recipient of the Kelly and Mike Price Scholarship award was Jared Woodward, now a freshman student-athlete at Spalding University.  Select comments from the award presentation for Jared are as follows: "Jared is a RHP that finished his prep career with a 3.79 unweighted GPA (4.4 weighted) and 1170 SAT.  Jared also took 12 AP classes in high school. Jared’s athletic story is one of a quiet, hardworking young man that was almost always the first one at practice and the last one to leave practice.  Jared also grinded out good grades academically while balancing his baseball schedules and part-time work schedule over his senior year and summer.  Jared became known as “Mr. Reliable” to his 6-4-3 coaches as he always wanted the ball and painted the zone with strikes whether in middle relief, closing a game, or spot starting."  The entire 6-4-3 staff congratulates Jared for his well-deserved recognition!

Since 2014, nearly $13,000 has been awarded to talented student-athletes through the Kelly and Mike Price Scholarship Program.  Past winners of the merit-based award include the following:
