COACHES COMMENTS:
Rush is a physical catcher and left handed hitter that features a nice lefty stroke. Rush is an excellent catch and throw guy behind the plate and controls the running game with the best of them. Rush is brick wall behind the dish and is a machine when it comes to blocking the baseball and preventing the opposition from getting a free 90 feet. At the plate, Rush features a backside approach that allows his barrel to get into the zone early and stays on plane a long time. Rush will make a good addition to a program at the next level.
