COACHES COMMENTS:
RJ is an exciting, electric athlete that has a lot of upside. Defensively, RJ can play 3B, SS and 2B very well. He has plus range and a plus arm across the diamond. RJ can also cover a lot of ground in the outfield. He gets good jumps and can show off his arm strength to all bases. Offensively, RJ has plus pop and very good hands. He does a good job of competing and has gap to gap power. On the mound, RJ has an electric fastball. He gets ahead in the count and does a good job of owning the inside half of the plate. Along with his fastball, RJ has a sharp, late breaking slider that he uses as his out pitch. RJ is an athlete that college and pro scouts will be keeping an eye on over the next few years.
RJ has committed to play college baseball at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
