Congratulations to the 6-4-3 DP Cougars 16U squad for finishing as runner-up at the 2020 Perfect Game Southeast World Series tournament last week. The 16U Cougars cruised through pool play outscoring opponents by a 32-0 margin. The Cougars continued their hot play, strong pitching, and solid defense in bracket play defeating the Dirtbags Tap Out 10-2, the Georgia Jackets National 11-0, and coming from behind to top the South Charlotte Panthers 3-2 in the semi-finals. The Cougars finally ran out of steam against crosstown rival East Cobb Astros in the Championship game. Zach Heavern (pictured below) earned tournament Most Valuable Pitcher for his pool play, six inning, complete game shutout with nine strikeouts, two hits and no walks.  Congrats again to all the 16U Cougars players and coaches for their strong tournament performance!
