Ben is a great competitor and loves being in big moments. He is a physical athlete with explosive hips that factor into his pitching and hitting. Ben has mound presence and goes right at hitters, challenging guys early in the count. His fastball has been in the low 80s and has a solid spin rate. His offspeed stuff is very sharp and his 3-pitch mix makes him a great option as a starter or a lockdown closer. Offensively, Ben has plus pop when he catches balls out front. His swing is simple and he does a nice job of keeping his approach through the middle of the field. Ben’s competitive edge and strength will make him a good piece to follow heading into his college career.
