Carson is a high level athlete with a high baseball IQ. At the plate, Carson competes his tail off and creates a lot of leverage in his swing. Carson sprays the ball to all fields when he is aggressive early in the count and has a knack for having QABs within a team-style offense. At 3B, Carson showcases footspeed and footwork that puts him in great positions to utilize his elite hands and arm talent across the diamond. Carson does a nice job of staying active with his feet and making proper decisions. On the mound, Carson is a difference maker. His demeanor, tempo and command set the tone for his team and the game. He throws a heavy fastball with ASR that he splits the plate with. His changeup has a good speed differential from his fastball and he can throw it in any count while his breaking ball is very sharp with depth. Carson is an exceptional teammate with a next level work ethic which will make him an impact player at a high-level program.
