Joe is a high-IQ ballplayer with an advanced left-handed swing. Joe has a consistent, fluid bat path and showcases tons of adjustability in his live ABs. He works through the middle of the field and sprays backspin linedrives. Joe keeps it simple but competes at a high level and slows the game down against above average pitching. Behind the plate, Joe has strong hands and blocks like he’s a pillow. His arm strength is above average and his ball has natural carry. Joe’s footwork continues to improve and his accuracy continues to get more consistent. Joe gives coaches tons of options with the ability to play in the corner outfield and plays a lot of infield. He has soft hands and keeps his head low while moving which helps him see and create hops. Joe’s arm is very fluid and carries well across the diamond. Joe showcases a ton of upside on the mound as well. His demeanor is even keel and Joe has the ability to throw all 4 of his pitches for strikes. His command is above average and his mechanics are very repeatable. Joe’s confidence to throw any pitch in any count helps keep big time hitters off-balance. As Joe continues to get stronger, his aptitude, strong academics and skillset will make him a superb fit for a high-academic college program.
