COACHES COMMENTS:
Mason is a hardnosed, gritty ballplayer who plays the game the right way. He is a lefty bat that could be placed anywhere in the lineup. He has advanced bat to ball skills and no count makes him feel uncomfortable – the definition of a tough out. Another year of getting stronger, Gazaway has huge upside offensively. Defensively, Mason plays any position in the outfield and his footwork and arm project well to all three spots. Gazaway, a true competitor wants to be in every moment of the game and that is what his teammates and coaches love about him. With his mentality of wanting to help his team win in any way and his physical tools, look for Gazaway to have a great summer. On the mound he also gives us options from the left side as he locates all three in and out and will be huge in matchup situations and spot starts.
